A Louisiana native, writer and photographer, Tamrin Ingram's work incorporates medium and large format photographs, text, and familial records that explore themes of generational memory and familial trauma. Primarily photographing in the traditional mode of landscape photography and still life, Tamrin’s work also addresses the environmental impact of pollution throughout the Cotton Belt. Her work has been shown across the United States in Arizona, Ohio, Georgia, and Illinois. She received her BFA from Columbus College of Art & Design in Columbus, Ohio and her MFA from the Photography, Video and Imaging program at the University of Arizona where she worked as research assistant to Frank Gohlke for three years. Tamrin was the first place winner of the 5 Minute Film Festival at MOCA Tucson in 2019, she was one of nine selected for the Lenscratch Thesis Project Feature Series in 2020, and in 2022 she was a selected conference speaker for the Society of Photographic Education’s South Central Conference.
Currently Tamrin lives in rural Louisiana with her partner, children, and their pack of animals, where they are working towards building a sustainable homestead.
